I'll try to explain my views on the Wikileaks story now that everyone has a little 'quiet.
There are several things that struck me in this story.
The first is the rage against a person that Julian Assange.
I say it now: I think the publication of this material falls under the freedom of the press. For posterity will judge.
The second thing that struck me is the anachronism of the statements politicians (no denial on the content, so to speak) and the means to counter the constant flow of materials.
All states have launched accusations of here, beyond insults and sometimes delusions. But no one realized that we are in 2010 and that the whole network is flooded with all private information. If we end up in the cauldron general documents also filtered by the embassies, there is nothing to marvel at. The problem, if there is one on the computer side, as it was possible that U.S. security policies have left these huge holes and, if there is one at the diplomatic level, how can anyone else take the distances from what is written in such compromising documents.
We come now to the technical matters most. As might be expected as soon as it was blocked by the dns name www.wikileaks.org were born a ton of mirrors that bounce the information. We do not count obviously p2p services etc.. because of the risk of bringing headaches to the upper floors.
course on the internet once the documents have been subjected to multiple wget-r to be preserved even after all the work of censorship.
I really hope that the leaders understand that the days of diplomatic relations 1.0 are over. Now not only the web but life is getting 2.0 so it is good that all the reports that are transparent and shake free of jokes from the Cold War. The If no result is a site that collects, a hacker who is accused while there are another 100,000 who continue to publish and maintain this island of freedom, a lot of bullshit said by uninformed politicians and a bad planetary picture.
Regards;)
