I wanted to refer to all those who visit this page an interesting topic that has been the subject of a search for a university exam: Cognitive Radio Networks.
I wrote a quick paper on what are the Cognitive Radio for the development of communications and security problems which can bring.
I'd like to be born this small introduction to further discussions and suggest possible solutions.
Link to paper
Inside the paper is also made constant reference to the Nokia reseach who worked to see where you can successfully employ this new technology.
You can also see the video product on YouTube that I put down here for those interested.

How To Write Noon On A Wedding Invitation
The pupils of the fifth class of the school Mount Madonna School in Watsonville, California within various project proposals on environmental protection have chosen to focus on a program to protect sea lions of California, especially among the most endangered of the West Coast of the Pacific. The boys are engaged in various activities to protect these animals from the analysis of those actions undertaken by men who can put them in danger.
The boys wanted to create an event so he could raise people's awareness on the problem of waste into the sea and for 80% come from the mainland .
For The weathering and through the rivers flow into the sea and waste, especially plastics, pose a serious threat to sea lions and other marine animals. Bags, nets, pieces of packaging such as ring-shaped can capture or harness marine mammals that end up dying of hunger, choking, or become victims of other predators, or they may accidentally ingest them mistaking them for food with consequences as deadly.
And here's the idea and the invitation for the event which took place today: The World Wide Waste Reduction Day, International Day of Waste Reduction, to save the seas and oceans because so many people engage in the world can make a difference.
Participants were asked to collect the waste material left to photograph and send pictures and place of discovery to a mailbox.

How Long Can Herpes Survive On Cup
Java is a good language. Very popular and full of documentation and libraries.
The Java VM is very slow. Very slow. Mooooooooolto slow.
so I came in contact with gcj or gcc for Java. This compiler produces an executable file, just like C / C + +.
At this point it is natural to make a small test performance. I state that the proposed test has no absolute value.
Compile this class.
MiaClass
public class {public
MiaClass () {
} public void print ()
{long startTime = System.currentTimeMillis
();
callOperationToTime ();
long endTime = System.currentTimeMillis
();
long totalTime = endTime - startTime;
System.out.println ("Time: "+ totalTime);}
private void callOperationToTime ()
{for (int i = 0; i \u0026lt;10000; i + +) {
System.out.println (" ");}
}}
richiamiamola and then by a simple "main".
public
class HelloWorld {public static void main (String [] args) {c = new
MiaClass MiaClass ();
c.print ();}
}
This code compiled with gcj performs operations 75ms in the Java VM and launched the rise to 291 milliseconds.

A DeWitt a small town suburb of Syracuse U.S. children attending fifth grade at the private school MPH, Manlius Pebble Hill in the group of 183 students who received the gift of a custom stainless steel water bottle with the impression of his name and the name of the school. "Plastic bottles are one of those things that usually end up in landfills," said Bruno, second from right in the picture. "When I use my water bottle I feel like I'm helping the world by not using more plastic. The plastic bottles are not suitable for reuse, it is consumed and size of mold."
Charlamb Jayne, who chairs the Committee MPH Green Committee says that the distribution of the bottles represents the final phase of an environmental education project that also saw the elimination of the sale of bottled water throughout the campus and the installation of fountains and micro-filtered and chilled water dispensers where you can fill water bottles.
At the same time uses water from the campus during all meetings and events instead of bottled water.
"There was some resistance," said Charlamb. "But it is important to explain to children that are not always what it's easy and convenient is the best choice for the environment, and the boys are getting used to make these considerations before you act. This teaching is to be transmitted to children with school education so they can share with their families back home. "
The students learned that there are about 140 million disposable plastic bottles that end up in landfills every day and that, if put next to a ' the other would cover the route that leads from New York to China and back. In addition, these 140 million , Only a small part of it is recycled and large quantities reach the waterways and to follow the seas and oceans polluted for hundreds of years.
The school has also installed solar panels on the roof, is increasing the percentage of materials recycled, composting, and cutting paper consumption, avoiding, among other actions, the sending of letters by mail.

Dune Buggies For Sale In Alberta
The Economist in 2011 has built a very interesting article which is titled precisely "A tagled web" . He talks about the new reform
FCC about the "network neutrality".
The main problem is the "pay for priority." It means that companies could help improve the traffic of a user who pays more than those who pay a lower rate. The article describes the current situation after the reform, and denounced as this problem has been elegantly neglected. In fact, states that are "prohibited unreasonable discrimination" leaving the intelligence of the provider definition of "reasonable discrimination."
issue on which I would like to focus however, is the Italian situation and comparing it to the U.S..
First, the Economist article points out what the issue is regulated by the FCC felt politically and take positions that the two sides. In Italy the problem of "network neutrality" is in no way perceived by the political class. It is obvious when you consider what Telecom has been able to do the good and the bad weather. Who is to say, "Fastweb" do not say. According
, but not least, the problem is the lack of infrastructure that will ensure all users a decent speed. In some areas of Italy does not reach the ADSL signal. This is just a reminder why the problem is as old as the Internet.
Liberalisation of wi-fi networks in the streets is an important event but I think it's just a speck of the immense beach called "technological advancement". We are a country back tremendously also with regard to connectivity. Let us at least learn from the mistakes that others are doing with a few years ahead of us!

Mobile Broadband Hack
Many grocery stores in the United States have eliminated bottled water from their plastic range. A pioneer in this direction is Ashland Food Co-op the only retailer of certified organic products in the south of 'Oregon.
Founded in 1971 as a cooperative to buy the circuit has now over 7000 cooperatives with an extensive selection of organic products from meat to fish, meats, baked goods, beer, wine and cosmetics.
In September 2009, Ashland Food Co-op has removed the plastic water bottles from the shelves. The fact in itself is not a surprise, given the characteristics of the retailer, but the interesting thing is how they got there.
Ashland has in fact received the first requests from customers asking them how they reconcile sustainability perseguita dalla mission aziendale con la vendita dell'acqua in bottiglie di plastica tramite note imbucate nella cassetta dei suggerimenti presente nel punto vendita.
La cooperativa ha infatti messo in vendita bottiglie colorate in acciaio Reusable stainless steel for $ 12 that customers may fill for free water in the store.
Apart from the seasonal tourists unfamiliar with the cooperative and were unprepared customers, according to the direction, reacted very well.
This is not the first environmental effort to Ashland in 2008 because all the plastic bags have been replaced with reusable bags at checkouts and at the same time, it was reduced by 75% the consumption of paper bags.
Other Co-op stores have followed suit and removed bottled water from their shelves with "Take Back the Tap". Even a local independent film festival that used to distribute water free bottle suspended the practice.
Throughout the country there have been other types of shops that have started similar initiatives but to date none of the big chains have followed suit. The next initiative
sustainable Ashland will cover the replacement of other reusable compostable disposable tableware in food industry. They are in fact in order to buy food, wash dishes and containers as well as a dishwasher.
spokeswoman Ashland, Annie Hoy, acknowledges that it is not easy for any store to take such decisions for them but have decided it deserves listening to customers and do not be afraid to try to change.
