The great crisis for years just feared, has come: the captains of the agricultural world is in revolt ... and this time is no joke. In terms of the revolt, this time, there have been no defections: the major associations that represent the totality of the agricultural dauno, decided to unite to take to the streets to protest to the bitter end until you get serious answers, concrete, decisive .
The origins of the crisis are strong, since the European Union has decided to gradually reduce our aid to agriculture in view of the entry of new countries of Eastern Europe considered with a less developed than ours. And yet, the depletion of funds for the installation of wind turbines has taken away fertile soil that once contributed to the fame of our country as "The Barn di'Italia.
Also regarding the causes, a lot of responsibility have the mechanisms of globalization and the habit of using the various production processes and / or processing the foreign grain and other agricultural products, whose cost is much lower and the quality - lasciatecelo go - it has nothing to do with the fruits of our land.
The demands this time are few, clear and precise, as clear from the statements made by leading experts in the world of agriculture. It calls for the refinancing of the solidarity fund, without which the companies can not make the conclusion of insurance contracts, the restructuring of the debts of companies, either singly or in aggregate, to the banks which, in turn, have been helped by Ministry of Economy, the tax relief permanent social security contributions, without resorting to extensions (the last one expiring on 31/12/2009); the publication of notices that PSR liquidity into the coffers of companies, sanitary controls on foreign goods that, on a par with those produced in Italy for which rightly control is very strict, do not cause health hazards.
These are some of the claims advanced by this new wave of protests that show no sign of fade because they have one goal: to awaken all the local political class, ask for a contribution in terms of strategy, development, without considering political affiliation. Join the world of politics, business and class in one great battle, in defense of our specialties, to defend the agricultural vocation of the territory, to avert a crisis that would put a knee in the sector to which the fate of at least 40% of the population of captains.
